The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to open the online application window for the SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 from 26 July 2024 to 17 August 2024. The Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination,2024 is scheduled to be held between October and November 2024.

This exam, conducted online, seeks to fill positions for Stenographer Grade C (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade D (Group C) across various ministries, departments, and organizations under the Government of India.

SSC Stenographer Vacancy 2024

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the tentative vacancy for both Grade C and Grade D posts along with SSC Stenographer Notification 2024 on 26th July 2024. This year total of 2006 vacancies has been announced and the category-wise and post-wise vacancy details will be notified soon.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates who are required to apply for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 must note that they must hold the minimum eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, education qualification and age limit. The

1. Nationality

A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

2. SSC Stenographer Education Qualification

The minimum Educational Qualification required by a candidate is to be at least a 12th pass from a recognized Board or University. He/She must be able to produce the required documents when asked for verification after qualifying SSC Stenographer 2024 Exam.

3. SSC Stenographer Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)

Stenographer Grade ‘C’: Candidate must fall in the age group of 18 to 30 years. Candidates born not before 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply. The Upper Age Relaxation is 05 Years for SC / ST, 03 Years for OBC and Plus 10 years for PwD.

SSC Stenographer Application Fee 2024

Rs 100/- only for General / OBC candidates. No fee for SC, ST, PwD, ESM and all women candidates. The fee should be made through online payment mode using BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.

SSC Stenographer Selection Process 2024

The SSC Stenographer 2024 examination will be conducted at 2 different levels. The first level is the Grade C and D exam which comprises MCQs and is conducted online. After this exam has been conducted, an exam to test your skill sets in various domains is conducted by SSC.

To begin with the SSC Stenographer Apply Online 2024, a candidate needs to provide basic details of themselves like name, parents’ name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number etc. Click on the submit button to submit your online registration form for SSC Stenographer 2024. It is advised that candidates verify their details before submitting the form. All the candidates will be issued a Registration ID for SSC Stenographer 2024 exam.

Candidates are required to log in with the provided Registration ID, date of birth and password to complete registration for SSC Stenographer 2024. Photograph – The photograph of a candidate must be clicked in front of a white color or light-colored background. The size of the photograph must be more than 4 kb and less than 12 kb in size. The resolution of the photograph must be 100*120 pixels in width and height.

Signature – The signature provided by the candidate must be in black or blue ink on the white sheet. The scanned copy of the signature that needs to be submitted must be in jpg format and it should be more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb in size. The resolution of the image should be 40*60 pixels in width and height
