Interested and eligible Indian citizens who have successfully completed a minimum of Matriculation and ITI or Diploma are eligible to apply for the RRB ALP Job Opening 2025 through online mode.

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Eligibility Criteria 2025

The age limit for RRB ALP 2025 is 18 to 30 years as of 1st July 2025. Interested candidates must have passed Matriculation and ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic.

OR

Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the above mentioned trades is also accepted.

OR

Matriculation/SSLC plus a three-year Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering, or a combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution in lieu of ITI.

Railway Recruitment Board Assistant Loco Pilot Selection Process 2025

The RRB ALP Vacancy 2025 Recruitment process will be made through First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1), Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2), Documents Verification (DV) and Medical Examination (ME). The selection process consists of four stages:

CBT 1 (Computer-Based Test 1) – Qualifying in nature.
CBT 2 (Computer-Based Test 2) – Shortlisting for CBAT.
CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) – Required for final merit list.
Document Verification & Medical Examination – Final selection stage.
