Centre for Written Examination – ICFRE Scientist-B Recruitment 2025
The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) reserves the right to allocate the written examination centre anywhere across India as per administrative requirements. Candidates applying for the ICFRE Scientist-B posts can prepared to travel to the designated exam location at their own expense.
Please note that no travel allowance (TA/DA) will be provided for attending the written exam. Also, the Chairman, Recruitment Board, ICFRE, holds the discretion to change the examination date, modify the exam centre, or cancel the examination altogether without providing any prior notice or reason.

Plan of Examination – ICFRE Scientist-B Recruitment 2025
The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) will conduct a two-stage selection process for the recruitment of Scientist-B posts. The selection will be based on the following:
I. Written Examination
The first stage will be a competitive written exam, designed to assess the candidate’s subject knowledge, analytical ability, and general aptitude. The written examination will be objective in nature and candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks to proceed to the next stage.
II. Personal Interview
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be called for a Personal Interview. The interview will evaluate the candidate’s domain expertise, communication skills, personality traits, and suitability for the role of Scientist-B.
Only those shortlisted from the written test will be eligible for the interview round. Final selection will be based on the combined performance in both stages.

Selected candidates for the Scientist-B posts under ICFRE Recruitment 2025 will be posted at any of the ICFRE Institutes or Research Centres located across India. The Council has a nationwide presence, and postings may include (but are not limited to) the following locations:
Dehradun, Jabalpur, Jodhpur, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Jorhat, Shimla, Ranchi, Hyderabad, Prayagraj, Chhindwara, Agartala, Aizawl, Visakhapatnam
