Steps to Apply Online:

• Visit the official SSC website
• Alternatively, download and register via the My SSC mobile application (available on Android/iOS).
• Click on the “Apply” tab and select Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination 2025.
• Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) if not already done.
• Fill in the application form with accurate personal, educational, and communication details.
• Upload the required documents, including a passport-size photograph and signature as per the specified format.

SSC Stenographer 2025: Application Fee Details

SSC Stenographer Notification 2025: Scheme of Examination, Skill Test & Document Verification

The selection process for the SSC Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ Examination 2025 consists of the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Examination (CBT)

The first stage of the recruitment process is an objective-type Computer-Based Test (CBT). The CBT will assess candidates on subjects such as General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension. Candidates who qualify the CBT will be shortlisted for the Skill Test in Stenography.

2. Skill Test in Stenography

Candidates who are shortlisted based on CBT scores will be required to appear in the Stenography Skill Test. The Skill Test is qualifying in nature and will test candidates’ shorthand speed and transcription accuracy. The Skill Test will be conducted in either Hindi or English, as opted by the candidate during the application.

3. Document Verification (DV)

After the final result, shortlisted candidates will undergo Document Verification (DV). DV will be conducted by the respective User Departments/Organizations where appointments are to be made. Candidates must carry all original documents, including educational certificates, caste/PwBD/ESM certificates (if applicable), and photo ID proof.

4. Final Selection:
The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the CBT, qualifying Skill Test, and document verification, subject to fulfilling all eligibility and reservation conditions.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates who are required to apply for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 must note that they must hold the minimum eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, education qualification and age limit. The

1. Nationality

A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

2. SSC Stenographer Education Qualification

The minimum Educational Qualification required by a candidate is to be at least a 12th pass from a recognized Board or University. He/She must be able to produce the required documents when asked for verification after qualifying SSC Stenographer 2024 Exam.

3. SSC Stenographer Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)

Stenographer Grade ‘C’: Candidate must fall in the age group of 18 to 30 years. Candidates born not before 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply. The Upper Age Relaxation is 05 Years for SC / ST, 03 Years for OBC and Plus 10 years for PwD.

Rs 100/- only for General / OBC candidates. No fee for SC, ST, PwD, ESM and all women candidates. The fee should be made through online payment mode using BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.

To begin with the SSC Stenographer Apply Online 2024, a candidate needs to provide basic details of themselves like name, parents’ name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number etc. Click on the submit button to submit your online registration form for SSC Stenographer 2024. The scanned copy of the signature that needs to be submitted must be in jpg format and it should be more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb in size.
