SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 – Notification Out for 2006 Vacancies

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC Stenographer Notification PDF with all the details for filling a total of 2006 vacancies (tentative) for the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’) in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations in India. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to open the online application window for the SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 from 26 July 2024 to 17 August 2024. The Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination,2024 is scheduled to be held between October and November 2024.

This exam, conducted online, seeks to fill positions for Stenographer Grade C (Group ‘B’, Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade D (Group C) across various ministries, departments, and organizations under the Government of India.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates who are required to apply for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 must note that they must hold the minimum eligibility criteria in terms of nationality, education qualification and age limit. The

1. Nationality

A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

2. SSC Stenographer Education Qualification

The minimum Educational Qualification required by a candidate is to be at least a 12th pass from a recognized Board or University. He/She must be able to produce the required documents when asked for verification after qualifying SSC Stenographer 2024 Exam.

3. SSC Stenographer Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)

Stenographer Grade ‘C’: Candidate must fall in the age group of 18 to 30 years. Candidates born not before 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply. The Upper Age Relaxation is 05 Years for SC / ST, 03 Years for OBC and Plus 10 years for PwD.
