Educational Qualification (a) Navik (General Duty):- Class 12th passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
(b) Navik (Domestic Branch):- Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
(c) Yantrik:- Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
OR
Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Indian Coast Guard 370 Vacancies – Selection Process Overview

The selection process for the Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD), Navik (DB), and Yantrik recruitment 2025 under the Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT) consists of four key stages. Candidates must clear each stage to progress to the next and ultimately join the prestigious Indian Coast Guard.

Stage I – Computer-Based Online Examination
Candidates will appear for a Computer-Based Online Test. Based on performance and the availability of seats at ICG Recruitment Centres, candidates will be shortlisted for Stage II.

Stage II – Physical and Document-Based Screening
Shortlisted candidates from Stage I will undergo the following tests:

  • Basic Identity Check and Biometric Verification
  • Assessment Test
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
  • Document Verification
  • Recruitment Medical Examination

After successful completion of Stage II, a final merit list will be prepared to determine eligibility for Stage III.

Stage III – Provisional Shortlisting at INS Chilka
Candidates who qualify Stage I and II and fall within the merit cutoff will receive a Provisional E-Admit Card for reporting at INS Chilka. Stage III is batch-specific:

Stage IV – Final Verification Prior to Training

Candidates applying for Navik (GD), Navik (DB), and Yantrik posts under the Indian Coast Guard CGEPT 2025 recruitment must pay a non-refundable examination fee as per the details below:

(i) General, OBC, and EWS candidates: ₹300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only)

(ii) SC/ST candidates: Exempted (No fee required if applying under reserved category and eligible)

(iii) Mode of Payment:- The examination fee must be paid online only through any of the following methods: Net Banking, Credit Card (Visa / Master / Maestro / Rupay), Debit Card and UPI

Examination City Preferences – Indian Coast Guard CGEPT 2025

While filling out the online application form for Navik (GD), Navik (DB), and Yantrik posts, candidates must select their preferred examination cities for the Stage-I Computer-Based Test.

Examination City Guidelines

Candidates must provide five preferences for the Stage-I examination city during the application process. The first preference should be the nearest city to the candidate’s current or communication address. Once allotted, the Stage-I and Stage-II examination centers will not be changed under any circumstances.

Stage-II Examination City Selection

Candidates shortlisted for Stage-II will be given the option to choose the date and examination center from the available slots.
