Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) released notification for Military Doctor Jobs for MBBS Indian Citizens for recruitment of SSC Officers. Online applications are invited for the post of Short Service Commission Medical Officer in AFMS from Indian citizens, both male and female, who have passed their final MBBS examination in no more than 2 attempts and have completed their internship on or before 15th August 2024. Applicants must also have qualified for the NEET PG Entrance Examination. The online registration for AFMS Medical Officer 2024 will close on 4th August 2024.

AFMS Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria 2024

AFMS Medical Officer Age Limit 2024

Candidate must not have attained the age of 30 years if holding a MBBS / PG Diploma. 35 years if holding a PG Degree.

AFMS Medical Officer Educational Qualification

(1) The applicant must possess medical qualification included in the National Medical Commission Act 2019.
(2) The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI / NMC.
(3) Post graduate Degree/ Diploma holders recognized by State Medical Council/ MCI/ NBE/ NMC may also apply.
(4) Only those candidates who have completed completing their internship on or before 15th August 2024 can apply.

Armed Forces Medical Services Application Fee 2024

An amount of Rs 200/- is payable online only. The required payment should be made at the end of the application submission through online payment methods (internet banking, credit card, or debit card).

AFMS Medical Officer Selection Process 2024

Shortlisting: Based on NEET PG Entrance Examination Marks.

Interview: Eligible candidates will be invited for an interview by a Board of Officers in the month of August / September 2024 at the Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt to assess their suitability and merit for grant of Short Service Commission in the Armed Forces Medical Services.
Physical & Medical Standards: After qualifying in the interview, each candidate must undergo a Special Medical Examination Board (SMB) convened by DGAFMS to assess their medical fitness according to established standards.

Merit List: All candidates who pass the interview (scoring at least 50%) will undergo a medical examination immediately following the interview.

AFMS Medical Officer Salary 2024

Medical Doctors commissioned in the Armed Forces Medical Services will be granted the rank of Captain (or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force) at Level 10B of the Defence Pay Matrix. The compensation includes BP Rs 61,300 + MSP Rs 15,500 + HRA (based on city category: X, Y, Z) + NPA at current rates + Transport Allowance Rs 3,600-7,200 (based on city category) + Dress Allowance Rs 20,000 annually, and Dearness Allowance as per current rates.

How to Apply for AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2024

Eligible Candidates should apply online through AMC SSC Entry Portal (amcsscentry.gov.in) from 16th July 2024.
The candidates are required to fill basic details and upload following relevant documents:-

(1) Passport Size Photograph.
(2) Scanned copy of class X (Matriculation) Certificate/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation as a proof of date of birth.
(3) A scanned copy of Final MBBS Part- I & II attempt certificate.
